Things To Do in Somerset This Summer
There’s nothing quite like a New Jersey summer! But if you close your eyes it might totally pass you by. With July already halfway gone, our summer plans are winding down as we look down the road of “back to school” and autumn activities. Here at Kelly Global Consultants, we say don’t rush these last few weeks of sweet summer fun. We’ve compiled the ultimate list of things to do in Somerset, and all around New Jersey this summer.
Kafka Farms
This destination has “family fun” written all over it. An interactive farm and petting zoo, Kafka Farms provides an exciting daytime experience for the kids and the adults. Engage in horseback riding lessons, feed the camels, or play around with the geese and other animals roaming around Somerset’s favorite local farm.
The Fleetwood Museum
Photographers, historians, and cinephiles- UNITE. The Fleetwood Museum is a crowning jewel of Somerset County and a crowd favorite. This museum is home to over 800 different antique cameras from ranging periods of time. Walk the halls and see the physical artistry, as well as the history of art, film, and photography in this beautiful house of film.
The Airsoft Factory
Take laser tag up a notch! The Airsoft Factory offers a variety of games in its state of the art indoor arena “including military, zombie, or COD style” play. This is the perfect destination for a group trip, birthday party outing, family reunion, or anyone looking for adventure and action.
Washington Rock State Park
As one of New Jersey’s oldest state parks, Washington Rock State Park is a local and tourist favorite for relaxation and family fun. Whether it is a study spot you seek, picnic place, or free-range area for the kids to run around- this is the place to be.
Wallace House
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Wallace House is a landmark not only to New Jersey but America as a whole. This Revolution-era mansion now serves as a historical home, open to walking tours delivering a little taste of history.
Rockingham Historic Site
Craving more history? Kelly has just the solution for you. Rockingham Historic Site was once President George Washington’s “wartime headquarters” during his time as a general. Spend the day here and be transported to those early colonial days. Tip from Rockingham: visit the 18th-century kitchen garden.
From all of us here at Kelly Global Consultants, we wish you a happy, healthy, and safe end of Summer.
