Meet Tysheem Barr: Executive Account Manager
Kelly Global Consultants is made up of a team of hard-working individuals, one of these all-stars is named Tysheem Barr. Barr has been an executive account manager on the team since July of 2017. This month, we sat down with Barr to discuss life, business, and student mentality.
Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Barr remembers his childhood as a busy one. The natural leader was an ambitious kid and spent his free time playing football. Barr played as a wide receiver throughout high school and his first year of college. On and off the field, Barr was surrounded by strength and positivity, specifically from his father. “The most influential childhood experience I remember was seeing my dad get up and go to work every single morning and provide for us.”
From the very start, Tysheem Barr’s dream job was CEO. “I had no idea I would end up in this field,” says Barr, “I knew I wanted to be the CEO of a big corporation. I was someone who everyone naturally listened, so I took advantage of it.”
After high school graduation, Barr packed his bags and headed for college. “My first year of college I attended Essex County College,” says Barr, “Then, after my first year, I transferred to Montclair State University where I majored in business, specifically marketing and advertising.” Barr was drawn to the company culture and embraced it with open arms. Not only has he contributed to our own growth, but he has also found personal growth inside the office of Kelly Global Consultants. “Patience is something that I didn’t have until I started working here,” says Barr, “I have grown so much myself while working here.”
“Being in this company has truly shaped my life,” says Barr, “I have been exposed to so many things that can change the trajectory of my life and the lives of my family.”
The leader sees his future clearly, with the title of “consultant.” “I see myself running an office in Houston,” says Barr, “going to Houston this past week with my team has been one of the most memorable times for me with this team.”
